Two separate paths:
- League and channel information — drivers, standings, sponsors, logos, colours — comes straight from GridCast over the internet. Nothing needs to run on your PC.
- Live timing and telemetry — positions, gaps, lap times, flags, pit road — has to be read out of iRacing by GridCast software on the race PC: GridCast Lite or the Broadcaster app.
Overlays find the data on their own. They connect directly when they're on the same PC, and through GridCast's cloud relay when they're on another machine.
