Much smaller than a broadcast layout — one focused panel with a few large fields. Start from the VR templates (Relative, Driver HUD, Spotter) rather than shrinking a broadcast overlay.
You don't need to set a resolution in OpenKneeboard either. The overlay detects where it's running and asks for its own size, so the panel comes out sharp and correctly shaped.
